Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation seems set to expand its offering of handsets powered by Google's Android operating system to a quite large extent in the near future. The company already has a series of appealing such devices available on the market, yet some more will arrive in the future, as a recently leaked list shows.

The said list has been spotted in a leaked Android 2.1 ROM for the company's HTC Hero mobile phone. The handset, as many of you might already know, has been recently spotted into the wild with the said ROM loaded on it, a ROM that also became available for download soon after, and which, it seems, also included the codenames for HTC's current and future Android-powered mobile phones.

The names that were spotted on the list include: Bahamas, Bravo, DesireC, Dragon, Dream, Espresso, Halo, HeroCT, HeroC, Hero, Huangshan, Incredible, Legend, Liberty, Memphis, Paradise, PassionC, Passion, Sapphire and Supersonic. For what it's worth, some of the names that can be seen here are already known to most of you, while others are brand new ones.

One can easily see that the Dream and Hero are included in the Android phones list, and that there is also reference to some of the only rumored phones like the Dragon or Passion, as well as to others yet unknown, like Huangshan or Espresso. On the other hand, some familiar names are not present on the list, and that might actually cause more issues than resolves.

Some enthusiasts will certainly look at he list and say that it proves the existence of handsets like the Dragon/Passion, based on the fact that Sapphire, Dream and Desire are also there (they were launched on the market as the Magic, T-Mobile G1 and DROID Eris). However, we'll have to wait for more details on the phones to arrive until making suppositions on what codenames like Supersonic, Liberty or Huangshan stand for.
