Lisa Robin Kelly's tragic life story hasn't come to an end just yet, despite the fact that she passed away almost a year ago. After investigators determined the cause of her death to be a drug overdose, a lawsuit has been filed in order to elucidate the matter further and seek out the guilty party.

As far as the family of the late actress is concerned, that guilty party is none other than the rehab facility that housed Kelly in the final days of her life. Radar claims that Lisa's family members have now filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the rehab center in question.

The lawsuit was filed two days ago, on June 9, at the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles. The Lisa Robin Kelly estate is listed as petitioner and they give Pax House LLC and its owners as the potential guilty party in the case of the actress' death, claiming that their negligence resulted in her death.

The family alleges that the facility displayed a gross oversight when they allowed one of their patients to die from “multiple drug intoxication ingested orally” after she had voluntarily sought treatment with them in the previous days.

“Plaintiffs are informed, believe and thereon allege that the SUBJECT INCIDENT occurred on or around August 15, 2013, at the SUBJECT FACILITY, which was approximately three days after the DECEDENT voluntarily sought treatment as a patient from Defendant PAX HOUSE at the SUBJECT FACILITY,” reads the lawsuit.

The estate wants that the facility pay damages for this gross negligence, in the form of past and future medical and professional expenses, legal fees, as well as “further relief” which the court would deem “just and proper.”

Lisa Robin Kelly was known to have drug issues, having completed over 20 stints in rehab at different moments in her life. She was found dead at the age of 43 in her bed at the rehab facility on August 14 last year.

The coroner's report has deemed her death “accidental” and her agent said at the time that, “She had been fighting demons for a while now and finally lost her battle.”

Most of you know Lisa from her role on the TV sitcom “That 70s Show,” where she played Topher Grace's slutty older sister for five years. Apart from that role, she also appeared in shows such as “Married … with Children,” “The X Files,” “Days of Our Lives,” and movies such as “Payback,” “Jawbreaker,” and “Amityville Dollhouse.”
