Singer Lisa Marie Presley has made the final step towards settling in Britain for good, by selling her Hollywood mansion. The 8-bedroom compound sold for $5 million, it has emerged.

Lisa, her husband and their beautiful twins have been living in England for quite some time now, with the singer once saying she’d chose it because she couldn’t stand the pressure of always being in the spotlight.

People’s constant criticism of her (be it her love life or her weight), and the around-the-clock attention finally convinced her what a shallow place Hollywood was – so she moved out.

Now that she’s sold her mansion, she truly has no reason to call Los Angeles her home, as Contact Music reports.

“The daughter of legendary singer Elvis sold the ranch-style house in gated Hidden Hills in Los Angeles for $5m. The compound has a five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom main house set on more than three acres,” the e-zine says of the impressive estate.

Since this is the house of a star we’re talking about, it also comes with a little something on the side in the form of customized rooms. “The master bedroom suite boasts a customised closet and a catwalk that leads to an office,” CM says.

“The property also includes a single-bedroom guesthouse, an annex / studio with a sound booth and a second-storey guest unit and a three-stall barn with bedroom and half-bath,” the same report reads.

In total, the compound has 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, and sprawls over 8,000 square feet of living space. It’s quite impressive, but not half as impressing as the one she’s living in right now.

Reports in the media say Lisa Marie bought a £8 million mansion near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, which is situated in the vicinity of the former home of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.

LMP is a Scientology believer, but the association could have been only partly responsible for the purchase: the new home also has 11 bedrooms, a sauna, an indoor pool and a cinema.
