Also speaks of struggling to get pregnant

After months of being virtually hounded by the media wherever she went, Elvis’ only daughter, Lisa Marie, has finally found peace in the comfort of her home. She and her three-month-old born twins, Finley and Harper, grace the pages of the upcoming issue of People magazine, in a spread that introduces the two children to the world.

The latest “additions” to Lisa Marie’s already large brood have been cause of much headache for the singer but, now that they’re here, she couldn’t be happier, she tells the mag. At the same time, looking back on it, Lisa Marie admits to not even remembering that well the media scandal of not long ago, since having the two beautiful kids is everything she might have wanted.

In the same interview, out at newsstands this Friday, Lisa Marie also approaches the topic of her state of health, revealing she suffers from a condition that prevented her to get pregnant for a long while. “I really wanted these babies,” the 40-year-old singer says, adding that she and her husband had tried for two years to no avail. It was then that doctors discovered there was something wrong with her.

“My blood was too thick and would clot, which caused several miscarriages. The moment I took blood thinners, I got pregnant.” Presley tells People. However, it was then that the problems with the media began. For those not in the know, at the onset of her pregnancy, Lisa Marie’s pictures, in all of them the weight gain being more than obvious, took over the media, with none too flattering headings such as “She’s becoming her father” or “Elvis’ daughter, victim of an unhealthy appetite.”

Despite repeatedly denying that she was suffering from an eating disorder, as the media speculated, Lisa Marie was eventually pushed into admitting that she was pregnant. Only a couple of weeks later, she posed semi-undressed for Marie Claire, ostensibly baring her belly for the entire world to see.
