Liquidmetal Technologies, a publicly traded company whose amorphous metal alloys are winning over the entire tech industry, has confirmed its involvement with Apple over the commercialization of the elusive material in products envisioned by the Cupertino, California-based giant.

In a video shot at Alan Stone's Southern California Investment Forum, Liquidmetal Technologies CEO Tom Steipp discusses their revolutionary metal alloy technology.

He says that “Our technology has been commercialized in a number of accounts, most recently by Apple computer, which took a license on the product in August of 2010. [Apple] along with us are commercializing [Liquidmetal] in the consumer electronic space.”

This, of course, doesn’t confirm that the iPhone 5 is made of Liquidmetal. Far from it. But it does add fuel to the fire, that much we can say for sure.
