We will not know if Zidane will retire or not. If we were to believe what he said before the World Cup, the Frenchman already said good-bye to the world of football. And everything was just perfect for it. France was in the World Cup final and they could have won it on penalties. Zizou was just 10 minutes away from making a great exit. Still, he couldn't control himself and hit Materazzi with his head.

And now, everyone is trying to keep him from retiring. All his friends, colleagues, former teammates and journalists agree that this is not the way a great footballer like Zizou should say good bye. More, his former Juventus coach and current technician of Squadra Azzura, Marcello Lippi, stated that he is more than sorry for Zidane and that the midfielder should reconsider retiring.
