I wasn't exactly surprised by that--what was surprising is that she just didn't end up in the curbside trash in the first place, like other newborn Chinese girls. The dogs and cats you slaughter for food are actually capable of love and feelings, which is more than I can say for any of your empty souls.

They drive up the ivory poaching , eliminating the elephants of the world, overfish the seas and ignore laws on quotas, Overcrowd caged cats and dogs in restaraunt kitchens only until it is their turn to be hung alive and beaten with hammers (to tenderize the meat). Chinee (freak families) eat monkey brain right out of the head of a primate while it is still ALIVE!

I think the people should be put in the lion exhibit with the lions. The lions are there for people to see and enjoy not to be a target for A**holes to pelt with snowballs because the A**hole thinks its funny.

The Chinese are the most foul, abusive race on this earth. They are the leading market for poachers to sell horns from poached rhinos and elephants and other exotic animals in the misguided belief that they have medicinal purposes. They have tiger farms to raise and slaughter tigers to get around international law. They are the most backwards country and race in the world. They don't believe in human rights and animals are nothing more than something to be exploited and abused by them. Just a foul race of people, you can't even argue it.

The Zoo in-charge and workers must be done like that. Then they'll feel the pain. And Chinese Govt must take action, like no other country in the world. Then none will repeat.

If these lions manage to escape and fight back, what will these morons think? How appalling that any zoo would permit visitors to torment captive animals. China is disgusting.

i think that its an out and out case of animal cruelty,you dont throw a cold object into an animals face full force,that to me is sickand inhumane,how would you like it if some ppl threw snowballs in your face and sat back and laughed like a loon while you doged frozen missles,no thats dang stupid,the ppl who did this should be fined and punished.

This is pure and simple animal abuse! Once again....the leaders in China need to do the right thing for the animals they chose to keep in captivity. Absoolutely disgusting to see people treating animals like this.

The officials have a clear and direct responsibility to protect those animals, and the people need to be educated in such matters. I saw the same thing while in Shanghai during 2000, when multiple young males were taunting and harming monkeys in a cage by offering them burning cigarettes, which the monkeys would reach for without realizing they were going to be burned each time. It was a disgusting and sick display as all of the young men laughed out loud and these acts continued. I was told that I dare not say or do anything at the time, lest the consequences would be dire for me. It was horrible...

I think it's disgusting! The Chinese think they are so sophisticated and intelligent with their knowledge in the computer industry. But they show what they are truly made of when they deliberately taunt animals in a zoo.
