Fable isn't the only thing in development

Peter Molyneux is one of the most interesting game designers, as he always manages to awake a huge amount of interest around his projects. That is why the expectations from him and his studio, Lionhead, to deliver great titles are very high.

With Fable II, the team really brought something very interesting to the industry, but we shouldn't think that the people at Lionhead are only working on the famous RPG series, at least according to Peter Molyneux. In his classic flamboyant style, the designer spoke with Kotaku and revealed that the team was very hard at work creating something very big, which might be announced at the E3 conference held this year.

“Lionhead shouldn't be thought of as just doing Fable,” he said. “Definitely not. In fact we've been working on, working incredibly hard, on something else. We haven't been allowed to talk about that something else because the rule is we have to have something to show, to prove it. Those days of high media concept are gone now and quite rightfully so.”

The designer then went on to appreciate the new and improved E3 and said that big announcements would be made there, “It's fascinating how E3 has turned itself around. It was a show that was on its last legs and now suddenly everyone is going 'Hey, it's going to be a big E3'. I think this year E3 is going to be pretty big on announcements from everybody. It's just a perfect time in the industry. We're kind of building ourselves up and saving our energy for these big announcements.”

Hopefully, the team at Lionhead will be capable of multitasking, as it also has one confirmed project, the See the Future DLC for Fable II and the highly rumored third installment of the popular RPG series. But until E3, we will have to be patient.
