Lionhead is the studio behind the very successful Fable series of RPG titles. It is currently led by flamboyant video game designer
Peter Molyneux, who is known for his ability to hype up something that isn't that great in the first place.
But it seems that Molyneux's personality is rubbing off on other employees at Lionhead, as Sam Van Tilburgh, a community manager at the company, teased fans of Fable II when he announced the fact that an announcement about the game would be made. Yes, an announcement for an announcement. Let's not forget that this isn't the first time the studio plays this card with its fans, as another stunt such as this was made at the end of last year, but flopped because the announcement of the first DLC, Knothole Island, couldn't have been made it at the scheduled time.
“I'm picking up through the grapevine that tomorrow there is going to be some news announcement and also new can't-miss content so make sure to visit our site tomorrow!” revealed Tilburgh. “No further details are available.”
Whether this announcement is about the already revealed
See the Future DLC expansion, which promises to let players see what will happen in the future of the fictional world of Albion, or about another piece of new content is still unconfirmed. Hopefully the team at Lionhead will deliver on its promises of a big thing and Fable II fans will certainly see something that is worth their time.
Look forward to the See the Future DLC in May when it will bring a variety of new quests, content and 13 new achievements. It will be available for just 560 MS Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace and will certainly be downloaded quite a few times.
