Well, get ready to have your mind blown. Apparently, this planet of ours is home to felines ingenious enough to operate locks. No, really, check out the video below if you doubt our words. Fair warning, though: if you have a pet cat, this footage will forever change the way you look at them.
The shocking moment when a lioness opens a car door
Not long ago, sisters Kaylene and Cindy paid a visit to their parents in South Africa and went with them on a safari tour. While on this tour, they came across a pride of lions and stopped their car next to them, hoping to snap a few photos and have a close look at the felines.
Much to their surprise, the big cats took an interest in them as well. At one point, one of the lionesses rose from its slumber and came to inspect their car. Since they believed themselves safe inside their vehicle, the family did not drive off when the feline approached them.
As it turns out, they probably should have. This is because, much to their surprise, the lioness looking to make friends with them or at least sniff them suddenly and without warning used its teeth to open the door to their car. The two sisters and their parents immediately freaked out, and rightfully so.
All's well that ends well, the surprised tourists agree
The good news is that, even though it managed to open the door to the family's car with surprising ease, the lioness did not pounce inside the vehicle or anything of the sorts. Instead, the sisters shut it back and blocked it. The lioness made no other attempts to get inside the car.
“Oh my gosh, I didn't know they could do that,” one of the sisters is heard saying on the recording. “Well, you'll have a story to tell,” their mother adds in a rather matter-of-fact kind of way.
Truth be told, this video first made it online about a year ago. However, it was posted on Reddit a few days ago and has since gone viral because, let's face it, there are few things in this world even remotely as cool as watching a lioness using its teeth to open a car door.
