“A lion saved me from cancer by biting me on the breast,” this volunteer claims

Quite a while ago, Katie Krivan decided to volunteer for working with the big cats looked after by a wildlife park in South Africa.

The 30-year-old woman now claims that she owes her life to a lion cub which somehow bit her on her breast and thus helped her notice a lump which was hiding inside it.

After a few medical consultations, Katie Krivan found that she was in fact suffering from breast cancer. Luckily for her, the condition was caught while still in its incipient stages.

Thus, Daily Mail says that, with the help of surgery and adequate treatment, Katie is now doing just fine.

While sharing her story during this year's Breast Cancer Awareness month, the woman argued that, “Not many people can say a lion bite saved their life, but it is true for me.”

The lion cub that bit Katie was about nine months old.
