The Humble Bundle initiative has just released the 16th collection of games and there is an interesting trend regarding the average price paid for every package.

First thing first, Linux users don't have a lot of games available for their platform and the Humble Bundles are the perfect opportunity to get more games ported to Linux.

According to a great statistic put together by Josh from cheesetalks.twolofbees.com, Linux users value their games the most. They are willing to pay more for every bundle they purchase.

If we take in consideration all the Humble Bundles released so far, the average payment for all of them is $6.48.

Windows uses are on last place with an average of $5.71 (€4.43), followed by Mac users with $8.23 (€6.39). Linux users take the first place with a whopping $11.06 (€8.59).

Linux users are smart and have tech jobs, so can afford to pay for games.

Its not just that, there are a limited amount of Linux games compared to windows so they are much more valuable to us then to windows users who could choose one of a few thousand other games to suite there desire's. And though this may be a general statement, i think most Linux users appreciate the porting of thees games more than Windows do considering they were already available for there system and most likely designed for it, the same goes for Mac gamers as they are also more limited than Windows gamers.
