The information is not certain, but it's extremely likely

The Steam Summer Sale is about to start, and Linux users must prepare for a couple of weeks of continuous price drops.

As usual, the information about the Steam Summer Sale has leaked with the help of the CDR database and, as everyone can see, there are a lot of Linux games scheduled to get a price cut.

Valve doesn’t update these entries unless the Sale is really close and, given the fact that July 4 is upon us, we can easily surmise that today will be a Steam day.

At a glance you can easily see some of the upcoming titles: the Trine games, the Valve catalogue, Bit Trip Runner games, Serious Sam collection, Don't Starve, and much more.

The information about the Sale is taken from the CDR database and by no means is it completely certain. The CDR Database is a record of data that describes every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service.

Usually, the new entries in the Steam database are first visible in the CDR Database before their official launch.

We will be keeping you apprised with the Steam Summer Sale deals as soon as they are made available.
