The new Steam Hardware Survey is showing that Linux gamers are holding their ground and are registering approximately the same percentage like the previous month.

Every month Valve publishes details about its Hardware Survey and gives us a glimpse of the number of Linux users on the Steam platform. There aren't any major changes from October, but the number of players should increase after the holidays and the next Steam Sale.

The most used Linux operating system on Steam is Ubuntu 13.04 64-bit with 0.36% (a 0.1% increase), followed by Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS 64-bit with 0.17% (a 0.1% decrease), and Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit with 0.11% (a 0.4 decrease).

If we sum it up, along with the other category which is comprised almost entirely of Linux operating systems, the Linux base hovers somewhere around 1.5%, which is actually a little bit better than the previous month.

More details about the Steam Hardware Survey can be found on the Steam website.
