The distribution is based on KDE Software Compilation 4.10

The final flavor of Linux Mint 15 KDE, has been launched and completes the collection of desktop environments for the famous distribution.

According to the developers, this edition features all the improvements from the latest Linux Mint release on top of KDE 4.10.

Highlights of Linux Mint 15 KDE:

• A new screen locker has been added in order to make the Workspaces more secure; • KWin now detects some virtual machines and enables OpenGL compositing, when it’s possible; • The printer setup, maintenance and job control have been improved; • Dolphin has received a large number of fixes; • Kate has received an improved notification system; • Okular has received a new feature called tiled rendering.
