As announced a earlier today, March 9th, the final release of the Linux Mint 12 LXDE operating system is now available for download on mirrors worldwide. After just one Release Candidate, the stable release of the Linux Mint 12 LXDE distribution comes with updated packages, new features and functionalities.
It is based on the Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) operating system and powered by Linux kernel 3.0 and the LXDE 0.5.0 lightweight desktop environment.
Linux Mint 12 LXDE includes applications like Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, VLC, Exaile, The GIMP, Dropbox client, Pidgin, Transmission, XChat, AbiWord, Gnumeric, GNOME MPlayer, and Xfburn.
