The Linux Mint 12 KDE operating system has been announced a few minutes ago (February 2nd) by Clement Lefebvre, bringing KDE Software Compilation 4.7.4 on your Linux Mint 12 desktops.

Linux Mint 12 KDE is based on Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) which means is powered by Linux kernel 3.0. It is distributed as a Hybrid DVD ISO image for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.

The boot splash screen of Linux Mint 12 KDE is now completely black and features such as Print to PDF, Apturl, and Ctrl_Alt_Backspace were implemented.

mintDesktop and Mint4Win received improvements in the final version of Linux Mint 12 KDE, and Moonlight was removed to not cause Firefox crashes. For more details check our official announcement. Enjoy the Linux Mint 12 KDE screenshot tour below!
