All users of Linux kernel 3.12 are urged to upgrade now!

After the release of LTS Linux 3.4.76 kernel, Greg Kroah-Hartman has announced on January 9 that the seventh maintenance release of the stable Linux kernel 3.12 is now available for download.

Linux kernel 3.12.7 is a pretty big update that brings various improvements to ARM, PowerPC and x86 architectures, several improvements to the EXT4, GFS2, Ceph, JBD and CIFS filesystems, some sound and core enhancements, as well as numerous updated drivers, including USB, wireless, i915, Radeon, and more.

"I'm announcing the release of the 3.12.7 kernel. All users of the 3.12 kernel series must upgrade. The updated 3.12.y git tree can be found at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.12.y and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary," Greg Kroah-Hartman said in the official release announcement.
