Greg Kroah-Hartman has announced the immediate availability for download of yet another version of the Linux kernel, 3.0.93 LTS (long-term support).

Linux kernel 3.0.93 is a very small release and it was released just to fix one problem with the networking. This bug has crept up in all the supported kernel.

“I'm announcing the release of the 3.0.93 kernel. All users of the 3.0 kernel series must upgrade.”

“The updated 3.0.y git tree can be found at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.0.y and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git,” said Greg Kroah-Hartman in the email announcement.

Users of the Linux kernel 3.0.x branch are urged to update to the new version as soon as possible in order to fix any issues and to get support for new devices.

More details about the changes in this branch of the kernel can be found in the official announcement. Download Linux Kernel 3.0.93 LTS right now from Softpedia.
