A couple of days ago, on May 11, Greg Kroah-Hartman had the pleasure of announcing that Linux kernel 3.0.78 LTS (Long Term Support) is available for download and upgrade.

Linux kernel 3.0.78 includes an updated DRM driver for Radeon graphics cards, improvements to the x86 and PowerPC architectures, as well as some autofs4 and netfilter changes.

"I'm announcing the release of the 3.0.78 kernel. All users of the 3.0 kernel series must upgrade."

The updated 3.0.y git tree can be found at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.0.y and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary" Greg Kroah-Hartman said in the email announcement.

As usual, all users of the 3.0.x branch are urged to upgrade their systems to Linux 3.0.78 kernel release, as soon as possible. We remind everyone that Linux kernels 3.4.45 LTS, 3.8.13 and 3.9.2 were also released this weekend.
