The latest Linux kernel in the 3.0.x branch can be downloaded from Softpedia

Greg Kroah-Hartman announced the immediate availability for download of Linux kernel 3.0.76 LTS.

This is a very small update for the 3.0.x branch of Linux kernel, with just a handful of commits and changes.

“This is the start of the stable review cycle for the 3.0.76 release. There are 30 patches in this series, all will be posted as a response to this one,” said Greg Kroah-Hartman in the email announcement.

Highlights of Linux Kernel 3.0.76 LTS:

• Support for atomic64_t has been added; • An incorrect credentials passing has been fixed; • A race in the TLB batch processing has been corrected.

Users of the Linux kernel 3.0.x branch are urged to update to the new version as soon as possible in order to fix any issues.
