Greg Kroah-Hartman has announced the immediate availability for download of yet another version of the Linux kernel, 3.0.100 LTS (long-term support).

Linux kernel 3.0.100 is a small release but, more importantly, it's also one of the last versions in this branch.

Even the guys from Linux.org have advised the users to upgrade as soon as possible to a more recent version.

“The Linux 3.0.100 kernel is now released. Due to the nice round number, it gets a special release note all to itself. But really, you shouldn't feel good about still using this kernel version, it's quite old, and will be end-of-life in a week,” reads the post on Google+.

More details about the changes in this branch of the kernel can be found in the official announcement. Download Linux Kernel 3.0.100 LTS right now from Softpedia.
