The reason is an article called “Learn to Hack”, now available online

Linux Format, a magazine published in UK devoted to one subject, the Linux world, has been booted off the shelves of Barnes & Noble, in United States.

The latest number of the magazine has a nifty cover with a title that looked ominous, entitled “Learn to Hack”. Inside, readers could find a ton of articles on how to access various operating systems, how to bypass passwords, how to gain access to Wi-Fi networks, and so on.

There were also some materials on how to protect yourself against such attacks, maybe against other readers of the magazine.

The censorship is somewhat uncalled for, but the hacking content of the magazine is still available online, for anyone to read.

The next issues of Linux Format, is called Beat the C.I.A, so I imagine that it will garner the same attention as the previous one, although is not clear whether Barnes & Noble will also take the same measures as with the latest issue.
