The Linux AIO team was more than happy to announce us today about the immediate availability for download of an updated Linux AIO Debian Live DVD, now based on the recently released Debian GNU/Linux 8.1 (Jessie) operating system.

For those of you who are not in the loop, we can tell you that the Linux AIO project is being known for building and distributing single DVD ISO images that contain multiple editions of a Linux distribution.

These are unique Live ISO images and you can get them for free with some of the most popular distros on the market, including Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, Fedora, and Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE).

As such, you will be able to carry a single USB flash drive with you that contains all or some of the most important editions of a Linux distro. For example, Linux AIO Debian Live contains all the Debian GNU/Linux 8.1 Live editions.

The Linux AIO Debian Live 8.1.0 release comes with the GNOME, KDE, LXDE, MATE, and Xfce editions of the Debian GNU/Linux 8.1.0 operating system. Unfortunately, the new Cinnamon flavor is missing from this release.

Available for 32- and 64-bit architectures

As expected, users will be able to download the Linux AIO Debian Live 8.1.0 ISO images for either 32-bit or 64-bit hardware architectures. However, please try to keep in mind that due to the fact that the SourceForge website, where the Linux AIO project is hosted, does not support files bigger than 5 GB, the ISO images have been split in two 7z archives.

To optain a usable ISO image that you can write on either a dual-layer DVD disc or a USB stick of 8GB or higher capacity, you must download both 7z archives and merge them by extracting the first one (the one with the .001 extension). More details can be found on the Linux AIO website. Download Linux AIO Debian Live 8.1 right now via Softpedia.
