Lineage II to Ready to Grow Bigger in Europe

Lineage is one of the most successful MMORPGs in the world, with 17 million reported players. It also got a huge expansion back in December 2007, called The Kamael that brought a lot of new features, items and fun to the fans. And, probably, what matters most: more players. And this is exactly the reason why Ncsoft, the game's developers, have decided that now it's the right time for the launch of a new server in Europe.

The new place that will allow Europeans to meet, fight against each other, embark in different quests and many more will be called Luna and everybody knows it will be a great addition to the two existing servers, Franz and Teon – especially because the last two needed some "space" in order to offer the smoothest online experience.

"Lineage II is a remarkable game that truly encapsulates the very best that the massively multiplayer online RPG genre has to offer. With its deep, immersive gameplay and thrilling player Vs player combat the demand for server access across Europe continues to be incredible," said Mirko Gozzo, Lineage II product manager at NCsoft Europe. "We’re delighted to be launching a brand new European server for a game that continues to go from strength to strength."

Lineage II is an epic, online (therefore MMO) fantasy adventure like no other. It offers a dynamic world, drawn in exquisite detail and populated with wonderful landscapes, intricately sculpted fortresses and some really nice looking characters. Players can storm massive castles, fend off majestic beasts, ride dragons into battle and conquer rival clans as they aim to become part of the Kingdom of Aden’s political and social elite – basically, the same thing you can do in any MMORPG, but with a different name and approach. With the launch of The Kamael players can enjoy an entirely new playable race, a mysterious breed of one winged soldiers with an affinity to dark magic, along with a completely enhanced new player experience that’s helped to introduce thousands of new adventurers to Lineage II’s incredible world.

The new European server, Luna, is expected to be launched by the end of April.
