Pets have become a must have for every MMORPG player, no matter what their favorite game is. Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne - The Kamael developers
NCSoft quickly understood that and have decided to improve the pet system even since Chronicle 2 was released, but now, with the release of Hellbound, they have expanded the pet system even more. Of course, we have all the details you need to know.

As a general overview, if you're not familiar with the pet system in Lineage II, you should know that they are useful companions in the lands of Aden, being able to conduct various series of attacks, use special skills and more. The pets gain levels too and go through a series of evolutions, earning new abilities along the way and becoming stronger and stronger. Their only downsides are the fact that they lose experience upon death and must consume a quantity of food before they grow hungry and ineffective.

Now, with the new changes in the pet system, NCSoft decided to rise the level cap to 85, together with the character's cap. For example, those that have a wolf as a pet can normally evolve it into a Great Wolf once it gets to level 55 and then into a Fenrir if it gets to level 70. The Fenrir is the third evolutionary stage of the basic Wolf and offers many powerful skills and special attacks. Fenrirs are also special because they can be mounted - a thing that offers real advantages, such as the same attack power as well as speed of the mount in question.

Of course, the other pets were not neglected - Baby Buffalo, Baby Kookaburra and Baby Cougar owners will now also be able to evolve their pets into "improved" pets once they are above level 55. For instance, a Baby Buffalo will grant fighter-oriented buffs, while the Baby Cougar grants buffs good for all classes. But we are sure you'd prefer finding out all the secrets of the new Lineage II pet system by trying for yourself and getting the best strategy, as always.
