2006 was definitely the year of hospital visits for the 20-year-old freckled actress and, by the look of things, 2007 starts off on the same note. After being taken to the emergency room for one asthma attack and two fainting spells due to dehydration and exhaustion, Lohan's publicist just confirmed that she is again on a hospital bed and about to go under the knife.
The 'Bobby' star spent her winter holiday in Miami and, a couple of days ago, there was nothing apparently wrong with her, as she was hanging out poolside with a bunch of her friends. But, according to Leslie Sloane Zelnik, her spokesperson, she began to feel bad and was taken to the doctor for a thorough check-up.
The docs advised her to go immediately in surgery and have her appendix removed, before any other complications arise. After the investigation, Lindsay went home but, Zelnik says, she will return today and head straight under the knife. The media and Lindsay's fans were assured that her condition was not serious.
The publicist refused to reveal the clinic where Lindsay will be admitted, but she assured the media that her client wouldn't miss any of her scheduled commitments. 'She was not feeling well and went to her doctor. She went to the hospital last night, and her appendix is being taken out today. She'll be recuperating for a few days, but then she will be totally fine.', Zelnik said during the press statement.
On Thursday, Lohan was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her part in the political drama 'Bobby', directed by Emilio Estevez. Presumably, she will be up in no time and back on the set of her latest movie, 'I Know Who Killed Me', in which she plays a stripper.
