Lindsay Lohan is preparing for first televised interview, will probably appear on Today

A while back, word got out in the media that troubled actress Lindsay Lohan stood to make as much as $1 million for her first post-jail interview. NBC is highly interested in it, which means she may appear on Today.

TMZ has learned that negotiations are underway to secure Lindsay for a tell-all interview, the kind Paris Hilton also did shortly after she was sprung free from prison.

Of course, word has it, since there’s only one “first” interview that Lindsay can give, not only is she asking for a lot of money, but she’s also considering the move very thoroughly.

“TMZ has learned ... Lindsay Lohan has ‘multiple offers’ for her first television interview since getting out of jail / rehab – and one of her biggest suitors is Today,” TMZ writes.

“Sources tell TMZ the NBC show has definite interest in landing the coveted sit-down with LiLo – a source at the Peacock says they are ‘actively’ trying to sign her,” the same publication further says.

The same sources reveal for TMZ that, at the moment, Lindsay is very partial to Today with Matt Lauer, which can be seen as an irony of sorts since her mother’s sit-down with him didn’t quite turn out as she wanted it.

“Dina Lohan tells TMZ ‘no final decision has been made’ on Lindsay’s first TV appearance,” TMZ also mentions.

Actually, the first interview with Lindsay since going to jail in rehab is the one in this month’s issue of Vanity Fair, which she did only days before surrendering herself.

In it, as we also reported at the time, Lindsay denied ever being addicted to drugs or alcohol, literally pinned the blame for everything that went wrong in her life on her father, and said her troubles had all been signs of growing up.

Also then, the star insisted she wasn’t done with the movie industry, saying she was determined to get her acting career back because she’s talented and deserved a break.

Presumably, in her first televised interview, Lindsay would also talk about her time in prison and rehab, if she got any preferential treatment and how the brief stint had changed her life, if in any way at all.
