Oh, how the mighty have fallen... Gone are the days in which Dina Lohan was ranting about how LiLo was going to get an Oscar soon and about how no one in the whole wide world was as good or as talented as she was. Now it looks like Lindsay is out of her mother's spell (or at least we hope so) and she really seems to have meant the whole "one step at a time" thing.
According to a source on the set of the popular series "Ugly Betty" (which airs on ABC), the cast and crew have all been gossiping that Lindsay Lohan is allegedly in "serious talks" for a cameo on the show. Apparently, LiLo is either a lot cleverer that we gave her credit for or really desperate - or both. Either way, she is said to take on the role of a fallen beauty queen who comes to work at the fast food chain where Betty's dad works as assistant manager. Is it just me, or she seems to be making fun of herself with this part? It takes real brains to do that. Well, stranger things have happened.

"Everyone's very excited", says a source. "Of course it brings a lot of attention to the show, and it's a great part for Lindsay". I'm not so sure about the last part, but if they say so... Baby steps, that's the key, Lindsay. The role is said to be part of a three-episode arc during which Betty becomes good friends with LiLo's character who is basically a loser who dropped out of high school and is not doing too well overall. "It sounds really cute", the source added. "Betty tries to help Lindsay's character by getting her a job at Mode, the fashion magazine where she works on the show".
Well, the truth is LiLo needs some serious help - as she seems to be short of cash and in a bit of an existential crisis after her rehab stint. We're not sure what Dina Lohan feels about her daughter starting small and doing cameos instead of finally nailing that Oscar-winning part, but not to worry - she'll be back with a few well-chosen comments in no time. Probably something about the meaning of life, being a working mom and sharing her own wisdom with the world. I have a feeling this whole story will turn out to be a lot more fun that we might expect.
