Lindsay Lohan is not what you'd call everybody's favorite actress. In fact, it has long become obvious that her tumultuous personal life has taken center stage and she's gotten to the point where she is better known for being a recovering boozer and (hopefully) former drug addict than for being an actress. The fact is, the world will have a hard time getting over her latest patchy performances - particularly the disastrous mock-thriller "I Know Who Killed Me", which scored an unprecedented eight Razzie awards this year and thus hit an all-time low in terms of bad cinema. One year later, Lindsay is reportedly set to revisit her obviously narcissistic passion for stripping and take on the role of a sex-addicted actress in her new movie called "Florence".

In the wake of last year's shaky run, Lindsay has lost much of her artistic credibility - which was not altogether that large, given that she was a Disney child star who never made it past the great big divide between teen heroes and proper, grown-up actors. However, if you're trying to convince critics and producers that you mean business, playing strippers, psychopathic murderers' girlfriends and sex-addicted waitresses may not be the best approach. There's no stopping Lindsay, though, who firmly believes she can play the "seriousness" card well by resorting to the other extreme, and jumping from pink to the darkest black, from "Herbie" straight into the shoes of various deranged characters.

LiLo's new deal comes only days after she was also signed on to another equally controversial project - portraying a member of Charles Manson's real-life murdering cult in "The Manson Girls". Star magazine (which broke the story) also claims that Lindsay will be paid a minimalist fee of just $75,000 for her "Florence" lead, thus showing herself willing to sacrifice wealth for art. "She just wants to remind people she can act and she's worth hiring," claims a source quoted by the magazine. Lindsay Lohan giving up money means one of two things - either the actress has finally hired a business manager and is not the one calling the shots on her career anymore, or the end of the world is coming and we must all repent and seek absolution for our sins.
