Truth be told, the celebrity - endorsed cosmetics market is nearing over-saturation, with pretty much everyone who is anyone launching either a perfume, a line of clothing and accessories, or both. From socialites like Paris Hilton and Lauren Conrad to A-list actors and singers such as Sarah Jessica Parker or Gwen Stefani, clothes and fragrances are the staple of a celebrity who respects herself. Along with the clothes and scents, which come with price tags ranging from "way too much" to reasonable and realistic, celebrities also promise to lend us a little of the chic and glamor of their headline-grabbing lifestyles. Lindsay Lohan would, of course, know what we're talking about.

The headline-grabbing starlet, who's been in and out of rehab a lot in the past year, apparently decided to give free reign to her hidden beauty talents and come up with her own fragrance. No news yet on whether the actress has managed to find a perfume house to back her initiative, but word on the street (that is, among those who know something about celebrities and fragrances) is that Lindsay is looking to speed things up and has been experimenting with various combinations of scents.

"Lindsay Lohan has finally wised up and decided to launch her own perfume line. Lohan says she's been trying to get her own range of perfumes launched for some time, but it's still in its early stages", says Hollyscoop. In an interview with The Sunday Times, she told the UK magazine that she had "sorta been experimenting" with various scents and eventually ended up with "this oil that I made up myself". Which is good news for Lindsay's fans and even better news for those who know Lindsay usually causes a stir wherever she goes and expect her entrance into the fragrance world to be just as eventful. Stay tuned for more news on this front.
