Lindsay Lohan has just managed to redefine the whole "a picture is worth a thousand words" cliché. Just take a look at these photos that depict Li-Lo walking down the street smoking in the town close to the Utah rehab facility she's been forced into more than a month ago. It really goes to show that the former star is going through a rough period - and is keeping up with her stubborn refusal to give up her past vices and move on.

Or maybe this is what drug withdrawal makes one look - although if we are to believe the reports coming from inside the Cirque Lodge, Lindsay failed to pass a drug urine test about two weeks ago and was threatened with expulsion if she kept on dissing the requirements imposed by the treatment.

Also on Lohan's mind have been her financial troubles - as apparently, her mother Dina has cut her off from whatever is left of her fortune. Lindsay, it seems, was left desperately trying to get money from all her friends and acquaintances - not lunch money, however, but bigger amounts, somewhere along the lines of $10.000 per person - but I'm afraid we'll have to use our imagination to figure out what she was planning to use it all for. Obvious hint: drugs are probably overpriced in a DRUG rehab facility.

So, all in all, not one of Lindsay's best times ever. In fact, these photos tell a story about a future that many of us have been predicting for quite some time now. Is it just me, or does that top look a little like the clothes prison inmates used to wear some 20 years ago? And what's with the cigarette - obviously, rehab doesn't work for nicotine detox, unfortunately. Also, Lindsay looks a lot more mature - almost old, in fact, and in these photos at least there's a definite "Dina-ish" air about her, sort of like a prophecy from the future that has traveled back in time to haunt her. Shudder.

We do hope Lindsay makes it through rehab (relatively) clean, and manages to find her young, fresh-looking face that's probably hidden somewhere at the bottom of the drawer in which she keeps the rest of the stuff back from the time when she was a sweet-looking teenager that impressed everyone with her heartfelt performances. Hate to sound nostalgic, but those really were the days...
