Second burglary at actress’ house could have been an inside job

Lindsay Lohan’s home in the Hollywood Hills was burglarized over the weekend, twice in less than four months that the star found herself thus “violated.” With Michael Lohan, Lindsay’s father, saying personal objects were taken and hiring extra detectives to help police in their investigation, speculation is beginning to build that Lindsay actually knew the thieves and is well aware of the compromising nature of the materials stolen.

“Yesterday, Lindsay Twittered the following about the break-in, ‘that’s how i know it was not a ROBBERY. electronics weren’t taken... just things that a certain old friend knew meant a lot to me’” TMZ writes, after posting photos taken with the surveillance cameras at Lindsay and Audrina Patridge’s homes, both of which have been broken in. On both incidents, three suspects gained access through a door left unlocked: two of them female and one male. In Lindsay’s case, though, it was clear the purpose of the “visit” was not making money off lifted possessions.

Initial reports had it, thanks to the statements made by Michael Lohan, that the only things that were taken were a safe that was literally ripped off the wall, and a few watches. Neither Mr. Lohan nor police officers on the case told the media what the contents of the safe were, but now, in light of the recent revelations, it seems it contained photos and videos of a more personal nature of Lindsay herself – at least, that’s what the Chicago-Sun Times believes right now.

Speaking of Michael Lohan and the recent break-in at his daughter’s house, the estranged father and former jailbird has decided time had come for him to step in and put an end to the leeching on his famous child by apprehending the burglars: that is, assisting police in the investigation, as we also reported the other day. Michael recently talked to the media and announced that he and his ex-wife, Lindsay’s mother, had had enough of this, so he was flying in to assist the police investigation as he could. At the same time, he also expressed hopes the perpetrators from the first break-in (back in May) would also be caught.

“I am coming into town to work with private investigators in order to gather evidence which will be turned over to LAPD and the detectives assigned to the case. This time, these evildoers will be caught. If we are fortunate, we just might find out who the culprits were from the other thefts as well. My children are not going to be subject to violations of this or any kind any longer. Especially when they always give to others, and it seems some of these very individuals are the ones behind these crimes. Dina and I are finished with this nonsense.” Mr. Lohan said the other day.
