One month ago, word was out that Lindsay Lohan had landed yet another part that would help her jumpstart her acting career: a brief cameo with Charlie Sheen in the upcoming comedy “Scary Movie 5.” Things aren’t going that well with that, it has emerged.
reports that, even though Lindsay signed on for the cameo some time ago, in recent weeks, she’s been virtually AWOL, missing rehearsals and skipping on scheduled appointments.
She also took issue with producers’ intention of including a joke on her recent (legal and professional) troubles, which would explain her prolonged period of absence, the report mentions.
“Dimension Films signed Lohan to play a cameo in the horror spoof opposite Charlie Sheen. But over the past two weeks — as the date for filming approached — Lohan disappeared, blew off rehearsals, missed her flight to the set and even bizarrely claimed she had walking pneumonia,” PageSix notes.
“We’re told the troubled starlet ‘freaked out’ after seeing the script was poking fun at her. At the 11th hour, Lohan did report for work, however only after she was threatened with a lawsuit by a Hollywood legal eagle and a private jet was sent to pick her up,” the e-zine further notes.
The Daily Mail has photos of Lindsay and Charlie on set, preparing to shoot their respective scenes, so we might as well assume that whatever method Dimension Films used to get her to work on time worked.
PageSix also says that, at one point, even Charlie Sheen was worried that Lohan might not be able to fulfill her contractual obligations.
Coming from a man who lost his extremely well paid job in television (his role on “Two and a Half Men”) because he was partying too hard but, as per his own claims, was still able to go to work on time, this speaks volumes.
“She’s been locked up in her room at the Bowery Hotel. She’s been in a tailspin. Even Charlie Sheen worried she might not be able to do the scene,” an insider says.
