Lindsay Lohan Is Too Sick to Be in Court, Not to Shop

Lindsay Lohan is supposed to be in court today to answer charges of allegedly lying to police in an ongoing investigation, but she’s already informed the judge that she was too sick to travel to LA. Online photos prove otherwise.

Lohan, who has seen more than her fair share of media exposure for her legal shenanigans, is accused of lying to cops after crashing a rental into an eighteen-wheeler, saying she wasn’t behind the wheel even though she was.

If she’s found guilty, she could have her probation revoked and be sent to jail, a prospect that is said to terrify her.

In court papers filed the other day by her lawyer, Lindsay claims she’s too sick to travel from New York to Los Angeles to be in court, TMZ reports.

“We've learned Lindsay's new lawyer, Mark Heller, submitted documents notifying the judge she's too ill to fly. Heller submitted a note from a Park Avenue doctor who says Lindsay has an upper respiratory infection and can't fly for her own safety as well as the safety of the public,” the celebrity publication reports.

“Heller also submitted an article from the New York Post from January 11, reporting that a flu epidemic has hit the Big Apple,” adds the same media outlet.

Nevertheless, TMZ has pics of the actress on an all-day shopping spree in SoHo over the weekend, which speak volumes as to how “sick” she really is.

“[We have] pictures showing Lindsay on an all-day shopping spree in SoHo Saturday – the same day the doctor allegedly examined her. She's even smoking... which doesn't seem like great idea for someone with a respiratory infection,” the e-zine concludes.

If the judge on Lindsay’s case rules that she lied when she came up with the excuse for not showing up in court, she could get jail time, no doubt about it.
