Lindsay Lohan Is in Serious Debt - And Will Host a Party to Make Up For It

It may a bit early for making New Year plans, but some of us are doing it - and not by their own choice. And by "some" I mean our favorite rehab alumn Lindsay Lohan, who despite her vow to stay off the booze, the drugs and the wild, drugged-out sex (I'm kidding with the last part - or maybe it's just wishful thinking - or maybe I'm envious of her reported abstinence, who knows) will be hosting a big party at the LAX club in Las Vegas.

I'm not sure if the world is coming to an end or some sort of calamity is going to hit soon, but sources report that LiLo is not happy about being appointed the party's host - but there's no turning back. "Lindsay doesn't necessarily want to host, but she's contractually obligated", a source states. The fact is, those rumors about LiLo being deep in debt were true after all, and it all goes back to the time when LiLo agreed to host her 21st birthday at PURE Nightclub (which, like LAX, is owned by Pure Management Group) back in July.

Just think about it: someone (the people who own PURE, that is) paid LiLo money in order for her to host her birthday gig in Las Vegas. And I'm not talking lunch money here, but "hundreds of thousands of dollars". However, the big birthday bash never happened. And yes, LiLo walked out with the money and now she has to find a way to pay it back. The logical conclusion is that, since she simply hasn't paid the money back period, she probably doesn't have it - which led to a more creative manner of paying back her debts: work. How's that for a change?

It's a bit like those soap operas in which one character is not able to pay her bill in a restaurant, so she has to start scrubbing tables and washing dishes in the restaurant's kitchen to make up for it. And I guess LiLo has lost some of her old charm now, because in older times she probably would have made the PURE owners cry by re-enacting her rehab drama, which would have got her off the (paying) hook. "She already took the money from the birthday gig and can't afford to pay them back", Us magazine reports. Well, of course she can't - and she won't pay them back. Now this is going to be funny. Lohan trying to stay sober while hosting a Vegas gig - I think they should bring on the cameras and make it into an epic about resisting temptation. What do you think - will she relapse or not?
