Lindsay Lohan Is Having an Affair with Tom Hardy

“Inception” star Tom Hardy may not be Lindsay Lohan’s sober mentor but that’s not to say they’re not really close. In fact, they’re very close, since Lohan has been telling her friends they’re having an affair, a new report suggests.

A while back, word got out that Hardy, who has a long history with substance abuse as well, had agreed to help Lindsay stay sober now that she’s out of rehab.

Her rep denied the story, but explained that Tom and Lindsay were “just friends.” Now, she’s been telling people that they’re having an affair, which started back when she was still in rehab, InTouch Weekly writes (story via here).

What’s worse, the mag says, is that Lindsay should not start dating for another year after she completed rehab so that she can focus on staying sober exclusively.

And, as if all that’s not enough, Hardy is engaged – he and girlfriend Charlotte Riley, whom he met while working together on the television adaptation of “Wuthering Heights,” announced the happy news last summer.

“She’s telling friends she’s definitely hooking up with him. They first met through friends when she was in rehab,” a source close to Lohan says for InTouch.

They first bonded over their past experience with drugs and what it was like to stay sober, and Hardy even made a few visits when Lindsay was at the Sober Living House.

It was there presumably that the friendship turned into something more.

“She said that over time, the relationship got physical,” the friend dishes. Even after Hardy went back to London, they kept in touch, “constantly” talking on the phone.

Another source believes Lindsay only initiated a romance with Tom because she’s trying to make ex-lover Samantha Ronson jealous.

“‘They got into a huge fight over him,’ says the source. However, adds the source, Sam is not jealous, but she doesn’t approve of Lindsay’s relationship with Tom because she thinks it’s ‘inappropriate’ considering he’s engaged,” InTouch writes.

A few days ago, as if sensing that such a story would come out, Lindsay Lohan tweeted “Tom Hardy is just a friend of mine… The tabloids are wrong.”
