Lindsay Lohan Is Free for Thankgiving

Though her judge initially said she would have to remain in rehab until January 3, 2011, without the possibility of spending any time over the holidays with her family, Lindsay Lohan has caught another lucky break.

For about 15 hours, the star has been offered clearance from the Betty Ford Clinic to spend Thanksgiving Day with her family – and she will do precisely that, in the company of her once-estranged father Michael Lohan, TMZ has learned.

Seeing how reports were saying a couple of days ago that Lindsay’s mother, Dina, was bending over backwards to get her home over the holiday, this might not be such great news for her.

“Lindsay Lohan is a free woman... for around 15 hours – LiLo got a one-day pass at Betty Ford to celebrate Thanksgiving in LA... with her dad,” TMZ reports.

“Sources close to the actress tell TMZ, she’s leaving her sober living facility in Palm Springs this morning to make the 2-hour drive but she has to be back by late tonight,” the same e-zine notes.

“We’re told a bunch of Lindsay’s friends are coming to dinner... along with Michael Lohan,” TMZ adds. Then, on a lighter note, “weere guessing Dina Lohan will cook her turkey with the steam blasting from her ears.”

As we also informed you a while back, though the DA wanted Lindsay back in jail for parole violation in the aftermath of her DUI convictions, she was sent to rehab because the judge deemed her condition too serious to be solved in prison.

A rep for the actress has never said what it exactly it is she’s seeking treatment for, but word on the street has it she’s addicted to cocaine and alcohol, while also having serious emotional and trust issues.

In recent days, Lindsay has been photographed out a lot, either attending mandatory alcohol ed classes, or going out shopping on her me-time from the Clinic, which has prompted talk that she’s already on the mend.

That she’s been given a one-day pass on Thanksgiving would come to further confirm this, it is now being said.
