Of all the things Lindsay Lohan could be jealous of in Jennifer Lawrence – her successful career, her Oscar nominations, her Oscar win, the fact that she’s the industry’s darling, to name just a few –, she chooses to hate her for something that’s not even up to her: the fact that Nicholas Hoult turned her down.

Lindsay has a reputation of having gone through the hottest male stars out there in the years since she rose to international fame and became of age. In fact, earlier this year, a list of men she slept with emerged online, including 36 names that she put down off the top of her hat, during a drunken night out with the girls.

She initially denied ever writing it but then owned up to it, explaining that she wasn’t drunk when she wrote it: it was actually one of her 12 AA steps.

From this contradiction and the existence of said list comes a new story in Star magazine (via online sister publication Radar Online) claiming that one man Lindsay badly wanted on her lovers list but never managed to snag was Nicholas Hoult.

Nicholas and Jennifer Lawrence have been dating on and off since sometime in 2011, after meeting on the set of the first installment in the “X-Men” reboot, “First Class.” According to Star, at the time Lindsay set her eyes on him with the purpose of bedding him (in 2010), he was not with Jennifer.

But he still turned her down, and the memory of it is beyond painful to her.

“She tried to hook up with him back in 2010, but he wouldn’t give her the time of day. She called him nonstop. Finally, he told her to buzz off. Now she’s bitter and taking out her anger on Jen,” says a spy.

Again, Lindsay could find other things to take out her anger on Jen for, if this is really what she’s doing and there is any truth to the report.

Unlike Lindsay, Jennifer knows how to manage her personal life to avoid becoming a tabloid fixture. She’s never photographed stumbling out of clubs, intoxicated. She works hard and plays even harder, when her movies come out and she reaps mostly glowing praises for her performances, not to mention award nominations and wins.

Meanwhile, to “prove” that she’s serious about her comeback (we’ve lost count how many of those she’s attempted so far) and to get people in the industry to work with her again, Lindsay had to do a docuseries, which is like a reality show but with a more pretentious name. And even that one failed to impress, fans and critics alike.
