Lindsay Lohan Goes Back to Rehab

These past few days have been extremely busy for Lindsay Lohan: she was in court again on Friday, sentenced to jail and out in just a few hours. It has now emerged that the star is going back to rehab.

This time, though, it’s not the court ordering her to do so, for Lindsay has realized that she has a serious problem and made the decision all on her own.

E! Online reports that a rehabilitation facility has not yet been chosen (or, at least, not announced publicly), as neither has the day she’s expected to move there made public.

“Just days after being released from jail, a source tells E! News Lindsay Lohan will head back to rehab to try to clean up her act. For real this time,” E! writes.

“No specific rehab center has been named, and Lohan’s exact check-in date is being kept under wraps. However, a source close to the troubled starlet said she is going into treatment for herself and not to sway the judge,” the same report says.

“Lohan came to this decision after being bailed out of jail late Friday night, where she was originally sentenced to 30 days with no bail, because of a failed drug test,” the e-zine points out.

As we also informed you at the time, Lindsay failed two drug tests ordered by the court as part of her parole, one for cocaine and one for amphetamines.

Because they consisted parole violation, she had to be back in court on Friday, where the judge sentenced her to 30 days back in prison without possibility of making bail.

Hours later, after the star was booked and taken to her cell, another judge intervened in her favor and the sentence was overturn. Lindsay was out on $300,000 bail, but she’s supposed to be back in court on October 22.

As of now, it is not known whether the decision to go back to rehab also has something to do with the photos that emerged online yesterday, showing Lindsay apparently injecting herself with heroin.

The photos, though old (it is believed they were taken back in 2007), consist the first concrete piece of evidence that Lindsay dabbled in heavy drugs.
