Lindsay Lohan Gets into Rehab Fight, Cops Investigate Her for Criminal Battery

Just as the media was saying that Lindsay Lohan was getting better and would probably walk out of rehab on January 3, a new report suggests she may still be far from that: earlier this month, she got back to rehab under the influence and assaulted a staffer, it has emerged.

TMZ reports that there are two sides of the story; however, should Lohan be found guilty of criminal battery, she will be sent right back to jail for parole violation for another 180 days.

According to the woman she reportedly assaulted, Lohan and two other women returned to Betty Ford Clinic, where she’s completing rehab, later than her appointed curfew.

Not only that, but the three tried to get inside unnoticed and climbed a wall for easier access. The staffer noticed them and asked them to take a breathalyzer, which is when Lohan became really aggressive.

She ripped a phone from the woman’s hand and pushed her, all in a bid to prevent her from contacting other staff at the Clinic. She was clearly drunk, the reported victim claims.

“Holland says she picked up another house phone to speak with 911, and Lindsay confronted her again and ripped the phone out of her hand, causing a severe sprain which caused Holland to go out on workers’ comp,” TMZ reports.

“Holland says she could smell alcohol on Lindsay’s breath,” the same e-zine notes. Since she spoke to the media about one of the in-patients at Betty Ford, Holland has been let for breach of confidentiality policy.

Holland is thinking of suing for the injuries she sustained at the hands of the star and for losing her job. Oddly enough, Lindsay is planning on doing the same, saying she didn’t touch the woman until she touched her, TMZ informs in a separate post.

“A female staff member was ‘unfairly’ scolding her about the situation and demanded the actress take a drug/alcohol test. We’re told it was during the heated exchange that the woman ‘put her hands on Lindsay.’ Lindsay claims she told the woman, ‘Take your hands off of me’ and then ‘pushed back’,” TMZ writes.

Lohan was supposed to “obey all laws” as part of her probation until August 2011. If she’s found guilty of assault, she’ll be sent back to jail for another 180 days.
