She hasn’t done community work, may still end up behind bars
Lindsay Lohan is in a pickle again: earlier this year, she was lucky to avoid a jail sentence on a theft charge, and to get only house arrest and community work. A judge has just revoked her probation because of severe absenteeism.Reports emerged last week saying that Lindsay was no longer wanted at a woman’s center where she was to do her community work because she’d “blown them off” after just one hour and a half.
She was in court the other day to account for the time she’s served – and to explain why she hadn’t already completed her sentence as she was supposed to.
Judge Stephanie Sautner ripped in her, as the videos below will show. She was handcuffed and escorted from the courtroom.
Lohan told the judge that she didn’t return to the women’s center because she realized, after one hour and a half, that the work there “wasn’t fulfilling,” even though she was never presented with a choice for the place she was supposed to carry out her sentence.
Lohan’s attorney, on the other hand, tried to argue that her client stopped going to the center because she’d be travelling abroad with her work.
The judge’s response was priceless: “She’s supposed to be an actress, from what I hear.”
Word online has it that she was most likely referring to reports and photos of Lindsay in Paris at Fashion Week, where she partied nightly for days on end.
“Before Lindsay was taken away in cuffs, the judge said Lindsay must complete 16 hours at the morgue before the November 2 hearing,” TMZ reports.
“Although Lindsay could get sentenced to nearly a year and a half in jail, a frustrated Judge Sautner noted new laws and overcrowding would make such a sentence unlikely,” says the e-zine.
Lohan had her bondsman in court with her – proof that she was expecting the outcome. She posted the $100,000 (€72,849) bail and walked in a matter of a couple of hours.
