Few Hollywood stars would happily pose for a photo shoot wearing clothes that had been worn before, with or without their express knowledge. Think Sarah Jessica Parker and the drama of her New York SATC designer dress -
which had been worn in public on two previous occasions and which was enough to cause a major fashion drama for the self-style fashionista. Most celebrities are always seeking exclusive designer outfits and innovative styles when it comes to posing for magazine campaigns - and as such, the thought of Lindsay Lohan posing in second-hand clothes would probably make most of us laugh and imagine it is all a joke.

However, we'd be wrong. The young starlet is currently fronting a campaign for ethical fashion, which aims to encourage people to swap unwanted clothes rather than keep buying new items. As a result, Lindsay put on her best vintage look and posed for the cameras, encouraging shoppers to come to the Visa fashion swapping event that will take place in London's Covent Garden square this month. The ethical fashion campaign is run by Visa in association with clothing charity Traid and seeks to encourage women and men around Britain and not only to swap their unwanted clothing rather than throw any old items away.

Lindsay took over this year's campaign from Mischa Barton who fronted it last year. "The concept of swapping clothes, getting something for nothing and refreshing your wardrobe appeals to everyone", the young actress explained. For the promotional shots, Lindsay wore a black blazer and a red mini skirt, as well her trademark leggings and various dresses and tops - and still managed to make them look as if they had just come off the racks in a designer store, which proves that with a little bit of effort, even second-hand fashion can look great.
