Before Lindsay Lohan went to jail and in between court hearings and trying to stay sober, the star still managed to find some time to pose for a couple of photospreads and do a few interviews. One such example is with men’s magazine
Maxim, on the cover of which Lindsay rocks a frilly striped two-piece swimsuit, while talking about being stronger and career plans.
When Lohan gave the interview and posed for the pics, she was probably still hoping to get out of the legal mess she was in without serving time behind bars, but that didn’t happen. Not only did she spend 14 days at Lynwood, but she was also sent straight from there to rehab, where she’ll remain for the next 3 months. In this context, her wearing a jailbird-themed swimsuit seems kind of ironic and of course that all celebrity bloggers have picked up on it.
On the other hand, the accompanying interview shows that, if anything, hope was the last thing Lindsay lost before turning herself in for jail time. “I am feeling strong. I’ve experienced a lot in my life, and my mom has given me a lot of faith. This too shall pass,” she says of her experience with the US legal system. She even has a word of advice for all those who may be in the same situation as her, and that’s to always follow their heart.
“Stay true to yourself always. At the end of the day, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and be content with the choices you’ve made, and will make, in your life. Go with your gut!” Lindsay says. As for plans for the future, Lindsay is looking to becoming more self-centered. “To focus on myself and my work and to move all press on me to focus on the work I do. Also, I’d like to do more work in India and travel to Malawi,” she says for the magazine.
Until she gets a chance to do just that, Lindsay still has a bumpy ride ahead of her. As we also noted on several past occasions, the star is now at the UCLA Medical Center, where she’ll be receiving intense counseling for her drug addiction and emotional problems.
TMZ says her condition may be actually worse than it’d been revealed publicly, as she’s been admitted to UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Hospital.
