Lindsay Lohan's Mum Hits Back at Jodie Foster

Wonder if Ali's fate will mirror Lindsay's

I was really wondering when this would happen - and how. The fact is, it did happen - Lindsay Lohan's party-loving mother didn't disappoint us and lashed out at actress Jodie Foster. Last week, Foster went on record to blame Lindsay Lohan's disastrous run-in with drugs and alcohol on her mother. And since Dina is the media whore that we know her to be, she couldn't stand being publicly slurred and decided to give Foster a piece of her mind.

Only this time, the wining took a new note (some of us would say it hit a new low) and it's no longer Dina the mother who would talk non stop nonsense about her daughter, but Dina the martyr who is a great mother and is simply offended that people don't realize what a wonderful role model she is.

"It really saddens me that a mom would comment on another mom without ever meeting me" she says. OK, I have to hand it to her - it's a sleek start, not talking about Foster the Oscar-winning actress but about Foster the mother.

And it goes on. "Ironically Lindsay's talent was compared to Jodie Foster's as a little girl! I don't know what Jodie dealt with as a young Hollywood actress but I do know if it weren't for her mother she would not be a successful actress today! I'm sure her mother made many sacrifices for her to be successful". It gets even better. I do wonder whether she's taken any lessons from the real Oprah - but dear Dina has just taken ass-kissing up one notch by not slamming Foster directly. Instead, she's aiming at the emotional side again, and just wait until you hear the end of the thought process.

"All we want as parents is to cultivate our children's dreams, whatever field they choose. She has no idea who we are and what we have dealt with! If she has a question to ask me, don't ridicule me publicly! She should know how the press twists the truth! Don't judge without facts". Oh, man, she really sounds like some sort of virtuous goddess, doesn't she? From what she says, it really sounds like she was there, alongside Lindsay all the time. They never argued in public a million times, did they? They never told each other to go to hell, Lindsay never even went to rehab, we just imagined the whole story. Yes, I can pretty much see where this is going. But really, it's amazing how those parents who do pay attention get such nice children - wonder where Dina was when they taught that lesson in school.
