Lindsay Lohan's Drugged Out Mum Is Exploiting Her Daughter

Lindsay Lohan may not be the world's most popular (former and wannabe) star, but when it comes to lies, drugs and scandals I believe her family breaks all records. It's no surprise - I was in fact wondering where Lindsay gets it all from and I knew that growing up in a family like that could not leave anyone unaffected. But this time, it's a lot more than post-divorce bitterness, as Lindsay's dad Michael gives an explosive interview to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, in which he seriously points the finger of blame at ex-wife Dina. Among many other things, he complains Dina has tried to prevent him from having any kind of contact with Lindsay, he accuses her of being on drugs and on dating a man whom he calls "a drunk, a rapist, a piece of garbage".

In fact, Michael Lohan - who doesn't have such a clean past himself, being accused of mistreating Lindsay on many occasions, calling her a slut and being a general nut case - paints his wife in colors that make her look mightily...well, there's no other word for it...bad. Among many other allegations, he insists that it's been Dina who did her best to interrupt his contact with Lindsay. "Dina is doing everything possible to try and prevent me from seeing Lindsay and my kids, and believe me, this is going to wind up back in court if I don't see my kids and the truth is gonna to come out" he says.

He goes on to state that "part of my whole agreement in court was for me to see my kids, which she has prevented me from doing. All she is, is deceptive and full of lies, and that's the bottom line". Chill out, man, that sounds like a threat to me and if you keep it up you're the one who's going to be facing jail, or at least one helluva law suit. But this time, it looks like Dina Lohan has managed to piss off her ex husband big time, because he sounds like he means business.

Michael Lohan claims that he always hoped matters won't be solved in court, because he hates all the publicity and media craze. I have to raise my eyebrows a bit at this, as I was under the impression that Lindsay's whole family is in fact feeding on her celebrity and enjoying the 15 minutes of fame in the spotlight. But Michael Lohan states that he always wanted to settle any family issues in private. "You know what, that [not going to court] has been my hope the whole time. This is about being good parents to the kids, not about Dina and I. But she still continues to make an issue between me and her(...). I don't have anyone around our kids, but she has this degenerate boyfriend around our kids. The guy's a drunk, he's a rapist, he's a piece of garbage hanging around my children". Ouch! That's got to hurt - but knowing Dina, I'm neither surprised nor moved by that. But this is not all. "What comes first, the money or Lindsay's welfare?" Michael asks. "I put welfare first, Dina put a price tag on that. I've never taken one red cent from Lindsay. Dina still collects from her percentage [as Lindsay's manager] $354,000 a year from her in salary. What do you have to say about that?"

Clearly, there's a lot to be said about it. But the most serious accusation is yet to come. Lohan claims that he can prove that as early as being six months old, Dina was doing drugs. "ll give you a tape - a video confession - of someone who came up to me and said, 'Michael, I know for a fact that Dina does cocaine because I delivered it to the house to her". Yes, some proof would be nice actually. But reading the whole thing again, I suddenly realized that all of a sudden I feel just a little bit sorry for Lindsay, for the first time in my life. It must definitely have been a nightmare, growing up with these two. And I think we are all curious to see just where this is headed and how fast, and by the looks of it we won't have to wait long.
