A month ago, Lindsay Lohan was spinning completely out of control, making a fool of herself and putting her friends in embarrassing situations. On January 18, the press got wind that she finally decided to do something about her troubled way of life by entering the Wonderland Center in Los Angeles.
At the time, Lindsay also issued a statement that said that she had realized she wasn't going the right way (in a strictly metaphorical sense, not like Nicole Richie and her SUV on the freeway) and that she decided to go to rehab, without mentioning which was the precise substance she had abused until now.
Since then, the media has been all over the story, especially as it was a move that most people predicted ever since last summer. Speculations and rumors abound (like, that she mixed painkillers with vodka, that she also had a drug problem and that she went over the edge because 'Spider-Man' hunk James Franco had turned her down a couple of times), while her mother is busy in basking in all the glory and fame the over-mediated rehab stint brought on her.
When she checked in the posh clinic, Lindsay was working on the thriller 'I Know Who Killed Me', a project in which she became more and more involved in time. As a matter of fact, because she wanted her character (a stripper) to be as closer to reality as possible, Lindsay even began taking pole dancing lessons which, in turn, led to her having bruises 'down there'.
Right before rehab, Lindsay paid another visit to the hospital to have her appendix removed. Shooting for the movie ceased only for two or three days, until she was well enough to show up on the set. Then came rehab and the producers were forced to delay filming until she completed her program.
The good news is that Lindsay will now be able to do both: her publicist just confirmed that she will be granted a leave of absence each day of her program, so that she may be able to go on set. The only condition is that she must stick to the clinic's curfew and return each night there, after shooting finishes. This will last for 30 days from now on, by which time she will be home free.
