After months of anticipation and intense speculation, the first official trailer for Steven Spielberg’s latest film, “Lincoln,” is finally here. Check it out above in full.

Starring Daniel Day-Lewis (who is almost unrecognizable as himself) as the President, Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, David Strathairn, Hal Holbrook, Jackie Earle Hale and James Spader, the film recounts Lincoln’s final months of life.

Because of the heavy plot and of the physical transformation Day-Lewis undertook for the part, it’s already generating plenty of Oscar talk.

Just recently, director Spielberg described the trailer as a “slight texture” of the film, “an offering of the tone.”

He also said Lincoln was “a monumental President,” adding that he chose to treat him “as man not monument” in the film.

“Lincoln” will be out in select US theaters starting November 9.
