Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is getting ready for the release of a limited-edition flavor of its high-end Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone.

The new flavor of the Windows Phone device will become available for purchase in a series of European markets, including three major countries, namely France, Germany and the UK.

The handset, inspired by the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises movie, will display the Batman logo on the battery cover and will be dressed up in black. It will feature the same polycarbonate body as the original.

While specific info on the mobile phone’s availability hasn’t been unveiled until now, the company is expected to release the device in the UK via online retailer Phones4U.

Nokia has already confirmed the upcoming availability of the device, a recent article on Pocket-lint reports.

Moreover, the handset vendor suggested that there won’t be too many units put up for sale, which means that those interested in getting one will have to be quick once it becomes available.

The outer design of the device reportedly resembles the limited-edition Batman Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone that was released back in December.

The limited-edition Lumia 800 came along with a specially-crafted retail box, with the glossy Batman logo all over its matte background.

The Batman Nokia Lumia 900 might sport a similar case, yet Nokia hasn’t provided an official confirmation on this for the time being.

Unfortunately, the company said only that the new device would be launched very soon, but it hasn’t provided specific details on the price tag that it would feature.

Lumia 900, Nokia’s current flagship Windows Phone, arrives on shelves with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, a 1.4GHz application processor, 16GB of internal memory, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

In addition to support for the various services that Microsoft came up with for its Windows Phone devices, it also comes with exclusive applications from Nokia, including Drive, Transport, Maps, and more.
