Lily Allen and Sam Cooper Are Engaged

Following a surprise pregnancy and a shocking miscarriage, singer Lily Allen finally has reason to rejoice: her boyfriend Sam Cooper proposed to her over the Christmas holiday and she said yes, it has emerged.

Confirmation of this is still pending, but sources are telling the Daily Mail that Sam got down on one knee and asked for Lily’s hand in marriage while holidaying in Bali, where they booked reservation in the 13th hour.

The two have been dating since the summer of 2009, and Lily has always spoken of Sam as “the love of [her] life,” having promised her he’d take good care of her forever.

Initially, Lily and Sam went to Australia for a few days, before jetting to the Amankila resort, where they had an £800-a-night suite booked especially for them, overlooking the Indian ocean.

It was on the balcony of said suite that Sam proposed, after which the two came down at the bar and celebrated the night away, says an unnamed but admittedly reliable source.

“It has been a terrible time for Lily and Sam, but they are totally in love with one another. It all came out of the blue – but Lily was overwhelmed and they are both overjoyed. They can look to the future now,” says the spy.

After the proposal, Lily and Sam celebrated with champagne and cocktails at the bar, telling the world of their happy news.

“Lily was telling everyone that she and Sam had just got engaged – they could not keep the smiles off their faces. It couldn’t have been more romantic. The resort is just so peaceful and picturesque,” says the same spy.

As confirmation of this is pending, consider the source: in November this year, Lily Allen took to Twitter to put a Daily Mail columnist in her place for running a story according to which she [Lily] was considering marrying Sam to “get over” the pain of the miscarriage.
